Burford is a rural community in the County of Brant. It has a population of 1,940[1], and is the location of the County's municipal offices.
Burford & Oakland Digital Collections Launched With Special Guest
The Burford and Oakland Digital Collections launch was on January 29th 2011 at the Burford Branch.
The launch included a talk by special guest speaker Zach Melnick, presenting on the Oakland and Burford story. Mr. Melnick is a videographer working on a 3-part series entitled "Rural Raids and Divided Loyalties, the War of 1812 in Southwestern Ontario" which is planned to include McArthur's raid and the Battle of Malcolm's Mills in Oakland.
